What is STEM?
Through weekly instruction in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, K-5 students learn problem-solving strategies, critical and creative thinking, and how to communicate and collaborate. Students apply knowledge from a variety of disciplines as they engage in hands-on activities, projects, and problems reflective of real-world scenarios and careers. What are some examples of STEM activities? Computer Science: Students build digital animations based on their own short stories. Engineering: Students design a robot that solves real world problems. Biomedical Science: Students propose methods to prevent the spread of illness. |
